Stacking Deployments
PaulD
Hi
I'm looking for a way to stack deployments; essentially running one right after another on the same host. I don't see any way of doing this aside from creating individual deployments and executing them in a script one after another. In this context order of the deployments is critical. Is there another way?
Here's a more specific logical flow:
============================
perform a deployment
run some scripts (dnr's)
perform Next deployment
run some scripts (dnr's)
repeat n times
======================
hope i missed something obvious,

Use DNR scripts to fire off the subsequent deployments after the current deployment has completed [successfully]
deploy->DNR->deploy->DNR->...

So its as easy as adding "$ODHOME/bin/iwodstart our_next_deployment" to a DNR? great! thanks.

No You really should have a proper DNR script to act as a wrapper.
That way if the second leg fails, the DNR could trigger a rollback on the first deployment.
