Lotus Notes and Visual Format

Hi,
Our Visual Format successfully filters out necessary tags from Microsoft Word. However when we paste text from Lotus Notes (eg an email) the formatting is not removed. Is there a way around this?
(TS 5.5.2 on Solaris)

Not knowing what kind of formatting lotus-notes uses - I can only suggest that it might be possible to (a) use FormAPI to filter it and/or (b) do the filtering in your PT. You should probably contact Ektron's support folks to see if they can provide any suggestions.

One measure is to add a "Paste Text" button to the toolbar that executes the following code:

editor.pasteHTML(clipboardData.getData("Text"));

This will paste whatever is in the clipboard as plain, unformatted text. That is with the major caveat that the clipboardData object is only available in IE and you will lose NS/Mozilla support if that is an issue for you.
