validating the filelist used in workflow

Hi,

i want to do validations on the files which have been selected for deployment. In the current teamsite 5.5.2, we are able to save file's whose names have spaces , double quotes and other special characters. To avoid such files being deployed, we need to make validations before the files are deployed .
Is there any known method to do this or any new suggestions.

can't you simply run regular expressions against the filenames that are in the list?

what is exactly the problem?
