opendeploy adapter questions

hello. i am trying to write an adapter and am having some trouble. i need to use a class from an external jar but am unsure about where the jar should be placed. also, i tried to use log4j but was unsuccessfull (iwov's logging isn't as nice but that is what i am using now.) lastly, i am having a porblem due to the fact that the class i am trying to use logs to stdout and stderr but i can't seem to find where these streams go. are they redirected to /dev/null or what?

OD loads up odadapter.jar in $ODHOME/userlib. In order to include your own jar, may be you can drop your jar file into odadapter.jar and hence OD will pick up all the classes.

With regards to stream, did you check ODHOME/log directory or ODHOME/od.log?

yeah, i've tried a lot of stuff to get od to pick up the classes. what finaly worked was to include the classpath in the manifest file. w.r.t. stream, i was only looking in odhome/log i had forgotten about odhome/od.log. thanks!
