Greetings,
We have been using Weblogic for 4 years to parse meta tag data from content managed html files to display appropriate article headlines where needed on our site. We will be moving to Websphere shortly and wanted to know how others are managing their content. Here is an example of a meta tag set from an article:
<head>
<meta name="title" content="Asset Allocation vs. Chasing Performance">
<meta name="author" content="Katie Cowley">
<meta name="source" content="VC">
<meta name="expirationDate" content="2904-04-27">
<meta name="postedDate" content="2004-04-28">
<meta name="creationDate" content="2004-04-28">
<meta name="contentlevel" content="A">
<meta name="keyword" content="education asset allocation ">
<meta name="displayPage" content="NA">
<meta name="priority" content="01">
</head>
We may have up to 400 different articles stored on our system, with the meta info stored in an Oracle table. to pull the relavent content for a web page (JSP pages), here is a sample bit of code:
------------------------------- BEGIN CODE ---------------------------------------------
contentQuery = "mimeType like 'text/htm*' && (keyword like 'press release*') && ((contentlevel like '*A*') || (contentlevel like '*"+userLevel+"*')) && ((expirationDate >= now) || expirationDate='0')";
<%-- JSP code below for displaying dynamic links from CMS --%>
<cm:select contentHome="com.beasys.commerce.axiom.document.Document" query="<%=contentQuery%>" sortby = "priority ASC, postedDate DESC" max = "35" id="contentList" />
<es:foreachinarray id="content" array="contentList" type="com.beasys.commerce.axiom.content.Content">
<% myStr=content.getIdentifier(); %>
<div class="block">
<div class="subhead"><a href="<%=new String("releases_display.jsp?id="+myStr)%>"><cm

rintproperty id="content" name="title" encode="html" /></a></div>
</div>
</es:foreachinarray>
<%-- End of JSP code for displaying dynamic links from CMS --%>
----------------------------- END CODE --------------------------------------
What would be good suggetions for doing this using Websphere?
- Joe
