Error while saving a DCT

Hi,

I have an issue and would appreciate if an help could be provided on this.

I have ported a TeamSite 5.5 application onto TeamSite 6.0. I have also set external attributes for the existing DCRs.
When I fill-in a DCT and try to save as a DCR, I get an error that says "Save was unsuccessful. You do not have write permission needed to create or overwrite this file".

I have checked in the templating.cfg file and it doesn't have any definition on role based constraint on this DCT.

I have full permissions on my workarea as well as on /templatedata. It still wouldn't let me save any DCR.

Hi Greg,

I have full permission on the DCRs.

As I said, I cannot save a DCT. Neither can I save an existing DCR after making an edit to it.

Everything you've indicated about the problem points to a permissions problem.
Everytime someone's asked about permissions you say you have them.
We can't see your file nor your environment.

Thus your only recourse here is to (a) open up a support case [however, they can't always help solve customization problems] or (b) hire an external consultant who is very knowledgeable in terms of TS / TST [no point in bringing them in otherwise] and see if they can find and resolve the problem for you.

check your iw.cfg file, and make sure the branch permissions are sert to 775,
I had the same problem and for some reason the iw.cfg got modified and I got the same error as you did
