DCR generate buttons not working
Hazzie
HI,
has anyone had a problem where the buttons at the top of a dcr edit screen do not work.
We have a group of users for who these buttons do not work.
The buttons being
"Save"
"Save As"
"Save & Close"
"Preview"
"Generate"
"Close"
I am at a bit of a loss to diagnose this one.
They did have Visual Formatter problems before hand but we manage to sort that one out with a manual install of Visual Formatter. Dont think its related but worth saying.
They are using
Internet Explorer version and patch level = IE6 SP1
Operating System version and service pack level = Windows XP SP1
Teamsite version and platform is in my Sig.
Any suggestions?

What does "do not work" mean?
Do they click on them and nothing happens?
Do they click on them and something happens but the end result doesn't seem to be what you expected?
Do they click on them and recieve some dialog box message? (if so - what message? & this would probably be a FormAPI issue)
Have you looked in ALL the various log files for any indication of errors?
Is there some commonality among this particular "group of users" [other than the buttons not working] that you can determine?

They click on them and nothing happens (as if there was no link behind them and it was just a graphic).
I have not looked at the log files. I will investigate them in the next few mins.

are you sure your users have not been migrated to Win XP SP2?

Well according to them they are on XP SP1. Is their a known problem with SP2 then? This might provide a hint (or a wild goose chase) as to what is wrong.

the problem is that the popups are blocked in SP2. so the users might be hitting the buttons and yet get nothing as the IE is blocking other windows from popping up
