Hi All,
The Data Capture Template fails with error when i use the <default> sub-element for text instance within my Data Capture Template ( DCT ).Below is the section of DCT which uses <default> tag

<description>Enter the date in yyyy-mm-dd format</description>
<database data-type="DATE" data-format="yyyy-mm-dd" />
<text maxlength="10" validation-regex="^[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]-[0-1][0-9]-[0-3][0-9]$" required="t"/>
<default>2005-04-01</default>
</item>
.....
........
When i remove the default tag , the DCT works ok.
Please let me know whats wrong in the above piece of code and as per TeamSite templating developer's guide the above piece of code should work, since the "default" is a valid sub-element for "text" instance.Below is the section of text from the same book for your quick reference.( TeamSite templating Developer's Guide , Release 5.5.2 , page 49).
<text> Specifies that data will be entered and captured using an unformatted
single-line text field.
Attributes:
maxlength: The maximum number of characters the user can enter.
required: See <browser>.
size: The number of characters that display in the text box.
validation-regex: Uses extended regex syntax to set validation criteria
for text entered by a user. A retry message appears in the data capture
form if the entered text does not meet the specified criteria.
Subelements:
<allowed>: See <browser>.
<default>: The default text that displays in the field when the data capture
form opens.
<callout>: See <browser>.
<java-callout>: See <browser>.
<cgi-callout>: See <browser>.
I would like to know your suggestions.
