URGENT! asp files NOT working

Hi
We just installed TeamSite 6.1 on a Windows server 2003.
We have configured it with all the remaps, set up IIS with ISAPI filter and so on.

Everything looks ok, BUT if we are viewing a asp file, we get a 404 file not found error. If we view a htm file in the same directory, it looks ok.
The vpath is correct for the asp file (same as htm file).

Looking at the IIS, I set up a new website to see if it was IIS there was the problem. Asp files works fine in new website.
I tried to set up a new virtual Directory in the default website. So I have 2 virtual dirs for that website. (iw-mount and test)
If I try to view a asp file in the test virtual dir, i get the 404 error too. So there must be something wrong with the default website (running TeamSite).

I tried to view a asp page in the default website before installing TeamSite, and it worked fine.

So.. does anybody have a clue what the h... is going on?
Can it be Tomcat server error.
I need some help ASAP, since we are running out of time before the production install begins.

What settings do you have in your iw.cfg ?
Post your iw.cfg or all the proxy rempas you have in iw.cfg.

Do you have a workarea or branch named "WORKAREA" ?

Note: Naming a workarea "WORKAREA", "STAGING" or "EDITION" is very likely to cause problems with all sorts of scripts / CLTs that assume there will be only one occurance of such a string in the path provided. If you really do have a workarea named "WORKAREA" I suggest you try changing the name of the workarea to something like "work" and see if that resolves the problems (of course you'd have to change anything else that you explicitly coded for WORKAREA/WORKAREA too)

A couple of things to try:

- Windows 2003 comes "locked down" out of the box, so ensure that you have ASP enabled in the "Web Extensions" for the Default Web Site.

Should you have ASP enabled:

I spent about 4 days on with support about a similar issue. I ended up using a "workaround" of sorts. I created another web site (calling it TeamSite). I then created a virtual web (calling it iw-mount) and pointed it to the Y drive. It's a hack, but it works. Hopefully, IWOV will figure out the "real" solution before I have to migrate this thing into my production environment.

Is your new webiste running at port 80 or 81, and is the main website still running, or did you delete that?

What do you point the new website to? wwwroot?

We are 2 weeks away before we roll this put in production, so I have to come up with the solution ASAP.

I just stopped ours, it's your choice. At the *minimum*, you should stop the site unless you are using host headers. Otherwise you will have port conflicts. I would suggest that you just stop the Default Web Site from running (versus deleting it).

I set the home directory for the new site (I called it TeamSite) to C:\Inetpub\wwwroot.

This method should work for you...I have it working currently.

We had similar issue. In our case we didn't have to delete the default website (running on port 81). We had iw-mount as a virtural directory under the default website. The trick that finally helped us was to make sure that the default website has enabled anonymous access, and use the TeamSite Impersonator TSIMP_XXXX windows user account for anonymous access. We created a real password for this user, simply leaving the password blank did not work.

I had the same issue with getting ASP pages to display in TeamSite. In trying to troubleshoot this issue, I did notice what appears to be a bug in in the TeamSite 6.1 install. The install package for Windows 2003 Server appears to set the iw-mount virtual directory local path to "Y:" when it should be set to "Y:\". (the missing backslash appears to attribute to an invalid path).
