Altering file permission using Submit.cfg

Hi,

I am trying to modify the permission of contents in one of my workarea to provide full access to a group.

Existing scenario:

The content in my workarea was created by one of my user and he submitted to staging before submit.cfg was configured.Because of which, he only has the read write permission to all the contents

Now i have a request to share this workarea for other users..I tried the below steps to change the permission of all the files and give edit access to the group.I was successful only at editing the permission of the folder but still the file permissions did not change

This is what i did

Rename the directory
Submit the now-deleted old directory name
Re-create the directory
Move the contents from the renamed directory back into their "correct" location
Delete the temp directorysubmit the target directory
