Hello Everyone,
I have one general question, Its been a while, some one asked me if there is any other way to deploy content without using Open Deploy or Data Deploy, can any one let me know if this is possible, and please let me know how it is done?

Write an external task and use ftp, scp, rcp, or whatever floats your boat. If you wanted to you could send raw packets across the wire as long as you had written something on the other end to catch them and do something useful with them.

Are you deploying assets to a filesystem (OD) or data to a DB (DD)?

There are numerous tools out that ther can be used for deploying assets to filesystems - with varying different features and functionality and zero knowledge of TeamSite.

The usual replacement for DD is Perl: Smiley Very Happy

BI - though I imagine the Java-proficient folks out there have a similar way of coding DB interactions when they don't use DD.

Again - it's a question of the features and functions you're trying to obtain and the environment you're in.

Frankly, I think OD is a pretty **** good product, and rather easy to install and configure.

Also, it's generally "bad form" to ask for alternatives to a given company's products on that company's forums.
