TS Upload

Can we restrict users to upload only selective extension files through upload feature of TeamSite. I am using TS6.1 on Solaris 9.

The import applet can't be modified or configured. What you can do is set up a iwat* trigger like iwatcreate or something to execute some script when a new file is imported. A former co-worked created a set up like this successfully (possibly with patch from IW support, but my memory is hazy). I can't recall exactly how it worked, but it is a possible approach.

I needed to do this, and first tried to replace the import function with an alternative - but this was a terrible idea.
Instead I added an external task early on in the workflow. This read an XML config file for the branch and checked the extensions and sizes of the files attached to the job. Any failures kicked off a CGI task that informed the user of which files caused the problems. Much nicer than hacking away at a horrendous Java applet!

unfortunately your reuqest is hangin with TS support for quite a while already. nope, you cannot limit, only thing you can do is setting unix permissions right as far as that is possible. replacing the complete upload with another upload tool might be the best way to do. we've done it here at least and the results are pleasing.
