Problem setting custom properties

Hi, i'm new here, I've been reading through all the old posts and it has been really helpful. Now i've got a problem that I hope someone can help me with,

I'm trying to check a document in to WorkSite 8 using the SDK and VB6

The document comes in fine, but i'm having problems setting some of the attributes of the document.

I can set most of the attributes, but when I try and set Custom18, Custom19 and Custom20 they are blank, they are all numeric values and they all appear blank when I look at the properties of the imported document.

Code samples i've tried...

intPatNo = adoImport.Recordset("PatNo")
objNRTDoc.SetAttributeValueByID nrCustom18, intPatNo

or

objNRTDoc.SetAttributeValueByID nrCustom18, adoImport.Recordset("PatNo")


Any ideas?

You need to make sure you're using the Update method (or UpdateWithResults) after making changes to the custom attribute values. Here's some sample code I used from VB6 environment to make changes to Custom19 and Custom20. You also want to check whether you are using the new IMan interfaces that come with SDK 8.0 or the old NRT interface as the list of enumerators for the custom attributes are different depending on which approach you take.
