Help with iwdiffapply CLT

When I execute iwdiffapply I get:

tar: Not a recognized flag: I
Usage: tar -{c|r|t|u|x} [-BdFhilmopsvw]
[-Number] [-fFile]
[-bBlocks] [-S [Feet] [Feet @Density] [Blocksb]]
[-LInputList] [-NBlocks] [-C Directory] File ...
tar: Unexpected end-of-file while reading from the storage media.

Here's a snippet of Perl which I attempt to syncronize a specific directory from one workarea to another:

$results = `$iwhome/bin/iwdiffdir $targetPath $sourcePath 2>&1`;
chop ($results);
chomp ($results);
if ($results) {

open DIFF, "> $iwdiffdir";
print DIFF $results;
close DIFF;
`chmod 666 $iwdiffdir`;


`$iwhome/bin/iwdiffapply -f $iwdiffdir $targetPath $sourcePath`;
}


$iwdiffdir file contains differences:

f Promotion_www.040904.tpl
f Promotion_www.042004.tpl
f Promotion_www.052104.tpl
f Promotion_www.060404.tpl
f Promotion_www.tpl

I suspect that this is a PATH problem and that the script is executing a different version of 'tar' on your system than the one expected. Please contact Interwoven Support for help resolving this problem. I'm not familiar with this script, and I think it is unlikely that other readers of the Perl forum will be.
