DeadLock - Server Crash

Hi,

We are currently facing an issue where the iwserver process hangs and the only solution to bring TeamSite back online is to reboot the server. We are on TS 6.1 SP1/ Windows 2000.

Interwoven Support has identified this to be a know issue - Deadlocks (BugId - 55550) and have recommended to apply SP2 which would resolve this issue.

We have not been able to re-create this problem in our environment and this makes me feel uncomfortable to assume that SP4 will resolve this isue.
I am curious to know if any of you have faced a similar issue and if yes, what was the solution. Any suggestion or "point to note" is appreciated.

At this point of time the only additional information we have is -

Users have noticed this issue when the server is loaded with workflow activities. In this environment the QA team tests several Templates which invokes Workflows.
