Deploying multi-select box items

Hi,
Is it possible to deploy values in multi-select box in to a child table rather than the main table by just updating dbschema.cfg file?
I think what I am asking is.. As far as I understand only replicant fields may go to child tables .. Would this work for multi-select boxes ?
