I have the OD Admin running on a non-teamsite Win2K box with all the default port settings for the 5.X interface.
I am about to upgrade that instance to the 6.1 release of OD, and I thought it would be nice in the transition to streamline the process for users to get to the admin server by changing the url to something like OpenDeploy.company.com instead of the
well known url that requires a port number and path to get to it.
Since this machine is also running a standard IIS web server, I am not sure that I can just change the Admin port number to 80 without causing interference there.
And even if I could, I believe that solution would still require that the user type in the /iw/opendeploy to get to the actual interface.
