MISSING /DEFAULT/MAIN

Hi

I recently installed interwoven and on logging into the system as a master i was taken by default to my TO DO list ... on click the workarea button i cannot see anything not even the default/main node on the left of the tree... though i can see the mount Y:\ that is accessible through the file system where i can see the default/main folders.

can any one suggest what possibly could be wrong. i'm using Teamsite 5.5.2 on windows 2000 SP4

iwstat -c returned me the following

I already had a problem like that because of the security.For I don't know what reason the mount was only browsable by root.You are on windows but you may have a similar problem.Otherwise a good test will be to create a new backing-store and see if there is any difference,a customer of my company once made a bad installation and had a corrupted backing store.

I would agree with hitc, Check your backing store, i also would suggest you to check your services, Also check your httpd folder for web file, its in iw-home/httpd/webapps/tsadmin/web-inf/, here you should have only one web file, it you have two it would give you an error, check on it and post me the solution.

Was the software installed by someone logged in as the local Administrator of the machine - or by someone who just happened to be in the Administrators group? I seem to recall that there were a number of problems that often cropped up on Windows when one didn't actually use the "real" Administrator account to perform the software installation - but it's been a while since I've had to deal with that so it may just be folklore at this point.

Did you installed the latest patch for TeamSite 5.5.2? It had problem showing the Branch View on Windows 2000 SP4.

I'm new to interwoven and facing this problem... i have Win xp SP2 on my machine... it was working on Win XP, but when i installed Win XP SP2, i faced the problem...
Any solutions... urgent!

Which version of TeamSite are you using? Win XP SP2 as a client OS is supported only on TeamSite 6.1 SP2 which released last week. No other version of TeamSite has official support for Win XP SP2.

So can you please tell me which OS is good for Client as well as server for this! I mean using WinXP without SP2 is not safe on network! So is there any way out?

From his post - it would seem that in order to use Windows/XP SP2 you *must* upgrade to TeamSite 6.1 SP2.
Alternatively, switch to a different flavor of Wndows (e.g. Windows 2000) - and check the Admin Guides and/or Release Notes to see which OS-SP levels are supported by which TS-SP releases.
(or alternatively, switch to Unix ;-)
