add new od role to receiver

I'm trying to add new od role users to our receiver.

User wcm-cpc-dev\kstewart login on od-admin role but is not an od-admin user on this OpenDeploy host.
API: 2005-01-21 16:37:28 EST GMT-05:00 Request denied. User: wcm-cpc-dev\kstewart, login role: od-admin, request: VIEW_SVR_CONFIG, details: odrcvr.xml

I've tried to run the commands for adding a new user as indicated from the OpenDeply Admin Guide 5.6, page 61
iwuser -c -role od-admin -D -F ops-home/iwopenapi/entities (where ops-home is the home dir), but if the role name itself is not listed, how will that work?

i've also looked at all of the iwuser command line options to explicity indicate my new role name wcm-cpc-dev/kstewart. Does anyone know the correct command to do such?

Migrateduser

iwuser is only for adding users to TeamSite OpenAPI (or the OD Operations Server if using OD without TeamSite.) After doing this, a user can login to the OD UI, but they don't have permission to access any receivers or base servers.

So, an OD administrator (such as the bootstrap admin) must login to the OD UI, access the receiver, and then add the user. This sets up the access control rules for the receiver, which are managed locally by the receiver.

The OD 5.6 product docs go into detail about this process. The Install Guide covers the iwuser and bootstrap admin stuff. Be sure to look at the latest edition, which has a publication date of Nov 2003.
