file upload restriction
hasel
Hi!
I have the following problem:
A user can upload any file with "file - import". This file can be a picture, a pdf or .exe!! how can i manipulate the file - import command because the import of exe files should be forbidden.
Do I habe to write my own workflow, or is there a possibility to customize the command?
Thanks
Hasel

Hi,
Did you find a solution to this. Even i'm looking into something like this. Please let me know.
Thx!

Not sure if it would be supported (in fact this would make a nice feature request if you ask me) but I believe the files you might want to start looking at are the following:
<iw-home>\httpd\webapps\content_center\WEB-INF\jspc\ccstd\launchpad\import_files_jsp.java
<iw-home>\httpd\webapps\content_center\WEB-INF\jspc\ccstd\launchpad\import_jsp.java
<iw-home>\httpd\webapps\content_center\WEB-INF\jspc\teamsite\launchpad\import_files_jsp.java
Unless there's a way to overwrite the Import Files functionality, you might have to figure out a way to hack these files, recompile them, and try to limit the filetypes accepted that way.
If you have a support id though, make a feature request for this and post the FR# so others can add their names to it.
