OD 6.0.1.0 on Solaris 9.

I am trying to allow SOAP connectivity to an OpenDeploy Server. I have uncommented the following configuration in odbase.xml to allow for content services. When I try to restart OD, it just hangs and never completely comes up. If I comment these lines out, OD starts normally. Have I done something wrong with the syntax here?

Check the logs and also review the documented set-up procedure. For example, you'll need to copy the passphrase file generated by CSF to the OD servers you want to access via web services.

Also take a look at the web services examples provided with OD.

Make sure the passphrase used by CSF is copied over to od-home/etc folder. Also check out the installation Manual for OpenDeploy, you can find detailed information on how to do the installation and configuration.

Hi,

After configuring OD to use CSF (copied passphrase from csf-home/etc to od-home/etc, adjusted odbase.xml for http web svcs,
and deploy.cfg to use web services).

I am seeing the same hanging of the od base server and incomplete startup noted in previous posts in this thread.

The following error is raised od-home/od.log

Can't tell much from the error in the od.log.

Can you attach the following logs:

- <od-home>/log/<hostname>_odbase.log
( only need to portion from the last few OpenDeploy startup toward the
end of the log)

- CSF/AccessService/log/<hostname>_AS_events.log

- CSF/AccessService/log/<hostname>_AS_errors.log
if it is not empty

when you untar the OD base package , which tar command did you use? can you make sure you have the solaris patch for tar is applied before running tar command.see the patch id info provided as follows. if you haven't used patched tar , then you will have do following.

1.Uninstall OD Base
2.Untar package using patched tar
3.Install OD base
4.Do necessary websvc setup and restart base server
5.you should be able to work with webvc

Following patch must be applied to the Solaris depending on which version of OS is used. Follow the instructions from the patch README file to install the patch.

1. Solaris 8 - Patch ID 110951-06

2. Solaris 9 - Patch ID 115336-02
