iwidmap

Hi,
I migrated some content from another teamsite. Now I am trying to run iwidmap but it is giving a vague error. I also deactivated before running iwidmap.
Is there any thing wrong in the command I am running. I appreciate any quick help on this. - Thanks

TS SP level ? patch level ?

Are you running the commands as root ?

iwidmap usage:

 Usage: iwidmap [-v] [-h] (-u | -g) [-a][-c <user1> <user2>] [-x <file> | -i <file>] [-s hostname] backing-store
        -v              print the version of this program
        -h              print this message
        -u              update userid mapping
        -g              update groupid mapping
        -a              update all entries in the id map
        -c <user> <user2> update user1 to user2
        -x <file>       extract to file
        -i <file>       import from file
        -s              name of host to lookup up id.
                        Default is localhost
backing-store   location of backing store

The way I intrepret this - you cannot use -u and -g together.
Whats the location of your "other" store ? /other ?

Your usage of the command is a bit of.

You are using -x filepath, this will only extract id map out to the file, not import. if you are planning to update all the users based upon a XML file, the following command should be run.

iwidmap -u -a -i xmL_file_path store_abs_pass_to_default_folder

if your store is located at /other, then the store path used should be /other/default.

I got it worked. As you suggested I had to give absolute path to the store. Also as I gave -u -g together it produced only group information. Now I gave -u option it is giving the user information.
