Teamsite Preview realization using Weblogic
System
Hi All,
As with configuration of any weblogic instance, we have created a folder by name WEB-INF under Y:\default\main\WWW\WORKAREA\common_workarea & placed our web.xml & weblogic.xml under the the same.
In the weblogic.xml we have specified context-root element value as "/" (<context-root>/<context-root/>) which means that the current directory level will be the doc root for that particular weblogic instance.
We have deployed this application onto the weblogic server instance running at port 7500.
We did the submit direct so that the same directory and files get reflected in staging area as well.
But as you know, in weblogic we can have only one unique context-root per server instance. Hence we cant the
same weblogic instance point to staging as well as edition.
Due to this, we can't deploy the same weblogic server instance to serve the pages from Staging or Edition. If we have to achieve
that, we need to create another weblogic server instance, one for Staging and another for Editions and have the docroots point
to respective folders.
Have anybody done JSP page realization using weblogic as appserver for Jsp file in Workare staging and edition using single weblogic instace..?
Need help to resolve this issue..
Thanks
Rashmi

I am not sure HOW this is possible at all - all app server integrations will involve one instance per area (whatever it is - staging, edition or a workarea).

I'm hoping you are the same person who opened a support case. There are folks in engineering assisting support, so that is probably your best avenue for getting to closure.

Hi Lissa,
are you sure you replied to the right person? 'Cause I did not open any cases about this.
cheers

That's right Lissa.
We have opened a case with tech support.
We have been able to deploy two web applications for workarea and staging and was able to preview the jsp pages. But in case of editions still havn't got a break through.
