Invoke metadata form from onSave formApi

Is it possible to invoke metadata form from FormAPI onSave event?

Basically the user needs to save a DCR, and the Metadata form needs to automatically open. I am not allowed to use workflow for this.

I am using TS6.1.

I believe you could have your onSave handler do window.open to any URL, so you just need to hack that URL together. You might want this only if they pressed close or save and close though - seems like every time they save would be a problem. Also you'll be tagging the DCR instead of the output file (unless you have rules for determining the output file), which may or may not be what you want. But why not just store the metadata in the DCR and leave metatagger out of the picture...

If you just need mtbatch or whatever (not the metatagger GUI), create a custom CGI or JSP that invokes mtbatch and use callServer to invoke that, passing the DCR path as one of the parameters.
