Internal Server Error
bpg
hello,
this is a very generic question but does anyone know if there's a route of diagnosis for when this error ccurs? ive looked through all the relevant log files and nothing really stands out to indicate this error.
the problem is intermittent but would like to be able to nail it down when i does occur.
regards,
brendan

Can you describe specifically when it's happening?

apologies dave, i didnt give you much to go on there.
we are on a w2k sp3 platform with 5.5.2 SP6a. the problem is that these errors are being reported by end users and only happen intermittently so its difficult to try and ascertain exactly what process was happening when the error occurs.
if theres no easy way of doing this with the little info that i have, then no worries.
many thanks,

further to my last email, i am now getting mopre instances of teh internal server error when users are trying to upload content. on the server desktop i am also getting a lot of pop-up's, stating:
Application popup: cmd.exe - Application Error : The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application.
any ideas?

I know there are at least a few others on this board who know more about this than I do, but it initially sounds like the installation wasn't right.
Can you verify that TeamSite is running as a service with Administrator priveleges? With the types of errors you're getting, it seems more like a Windows/TS Installation issue than a TeamSite issue.

Hmmm... okay, when you say that you've looked through relevant log files, which have you looked through exactly?
