DataDeploy and Oracle 9i compatability
nithinbose
Hello All,
We have DD 5.5.2 currently installed in our system which deploys content to an Oracle 8.1.7 database.
We are planning to upgrade to Oracle 9i (9.2.0.5) and wanted to find out if any of you have ever faced any problems working with this version?
Does DD 5.6 work with Oracle 9i?
I found a KB article #46610, but it was not concrete, hence the post.
Any infomartion is appreciated.
Thanks,
Nithin

DD 5.6 supports Oracle 9i.
Do make sure you've got the latest edition of the product docs, since they underwent changes after the original release of DD 5.6. The latest Admin Guide should say April 2003 on the copyright page under the part number. The latest Release Notes, which include compatibility info, should say December 2003.
Regarding build numbers, they are the following:
5.6 (Windows, Solaris) = 14707
5.6 SP1 (Windows, Solaris) = 19499
5.6SP1 jumbo patch 1406/Windows, 1407/Solaris = 26833
5.6b (AIX) = 29199
If you install any patches, the build number may differ from what's listed above.
