Do you possibly have multiple deployment legs updating the same target directory?

But when I do the deployment with same user again then its deploying and formar deployment still running. I checked the process using ps -eaf, there are 10 deployments are running from past 5 days.

Use iwodserverstatus instead of ps -aef to see if there are any deployments running.
there are 10 deployments are running from past 5 days
Do you really have any deployment that
runs
for days ?

I don't see any iwodserverstatus command under OD-home/bin.

I see from your logs you are on OD 5.0.1
iwodserverstatus
OpenDeploy server host: localhost, RMI registry port: 9173
OpenDeploy server is alive.
0 deployments are currently active.
iwodservergetversion

Can you tail the receiver logs on the targets ? Are these the same deployments or different ? Using the
-inst switch ?

I don't see any iwodserverstatus command under OD-home/bin.
Can't recall right now if 5.0.1 had the iwodserverstatus command.

If your deployments are hung for 5 days I would tend to think they are not doing anything useful anymore. Why not clean them up and then try ?
Adam Stoller
Check diskspace on the receiver. I've seen instances (more with versions older than 5.6) where running out of diskspace on a receiver would cause the deployment to hang on the sender - and the only way to fix it was to stop/restart the receiver and try the deployments over again.
Another source of hanging deployments could occur if you were deploying from something like a workarea, where the files can get changed out from under OD while it's attempting to deploy them (I actually can't remember whether this caused hanging or failure - but it did generate error messages in the log files about not finding the expected amount of bytes).

We have enough Diskspace on receiver. When we try to deploy 2nd time (where 1st time it was hanged) then deploying fine. But 1st one is hanging forever utill we stop and start the OD server. This is happing one one user.

What is the source area location of the deployment? Is it in an edition? in staging? in a workarea? or outside of TeamSite?

Source is Staging and its file list deployment.

Does the file ./Agov2/images/featurestory/20041007_KMH_re-entry.jpg exist on the STAGING area?
Does the person that is trying to deploy it have read access on that file?

Yes, the file exists in the Staging. yes person has read access on that file. When the user try to deploy send time it is doing fine but first time it is hanging (not all the time , most of the time).

I can't remember off-hand the do-s/don't-s regarding this - but if you are using "/default" or "/iwmnt/default" as the path to your source area - try changing it to "/.iwmnt/default" (note the '.')
The reason for this is that you might be running into a timing problem with the cache and the first time you try to deploy from staging the file might not be there (or might be in the process of being placed into the cache) and this might cause a problem for OD if it's trying to access the file and it's in different states when it first looks at it (to determine what actions to take) and when it next looks at it (to take those actions).

I changed my deployment config from /default to /.iwmnt/default, still it is hanging.
