problems in file include

We are using  directives for including files in the generated ASPs. On the webserver it is working fine but on the teamsite server as we have additional "WORKAREA" folder, it's not taking the correct path. I also did some proxy mappings but that also didn't work.
If i change it to , it works fine. But because of some server configuration, we cannot use virtual include.

Can anybody suggest something, if i need to do something extra for doing file include rather than virtual include.

Can you give an example of what kind of path - absolute/relative you are using inside the include statement ?
