Workflow breaks images

Hi,

As part of our content generation workflow, an external task checks for any image files defined in the associated DCR. If any are found, and if they have been modified, they are attached to the task and submitted along with the generated content. This is done for versioning.

The problem is that after the files have been submitted the image is 'corrupted' and its modified date altered. Can anybody give me a clue as to why is happening?

What does Teamsite do to files on submission?

Any advice most appreciated.

The modified date being altered makes sense if the file was modified and submitted (I believe it would get the date of submission).

The corruption is a more important issue - can you describe the corruption? perhaps give an example?
