Remove Style Button in Visual Format
Rey
I am using a W2K server and on TS 6.1. I have a visual format field that is using the latest version from Ektron and in this version of the Visual Format toolbar, there is a remove style button that according to the user documentation does the following:
Remove all style information applied to selected text. (You apply styles using the Style dropdown list.) For example
Before
<P class=note>This is initial content.</P>
After
<P>This is initial content.</P>
In the developers guide, there is not a lot of information indicating to me how this button really works on removing a style. Well the problem I have is that if a user selects multiple words and applies one style to all these words and then wants to remove the applied style to only one of the words, but not all of the words this is not possible. The remove style button will remove the applied style from all the words, not just the highlighted word. According to the user manaul it should only remove the style applied to "selected text". Does anyone know if you can remove a style from just one word?

You should probably check with Ektron's support folks if you don't get a useful response here...

I just placed the same question on their forum, so hopefully someone will know an answer. Thanks for the idea.

You just need to add the following button code in the interface section of the visualformatconfig.xml file:
<button command="cmdunstyle"/>
