Hi,

The field DC.Date.valid is used in our metadata capture with the options - 1 month, 3months, 6months and 12 months.
We will write a script to calculate and convert it to the appropriate YYYY-MM-DD format.

My question is: How do I store the manipulated date in the extended attributes for deployment to a database? Has anyone else done this?

Your description is clear, but to rephrase, you want to capture a date field from a DCT and then calculate a variable increment of time ahead of that and store that value as an extended attribute?

Since your new DCR isn't a DCR until after it's saved, you can save the calculated value in the DCR but cannot set it as an extended attribute until a later point.

Will this asset always be put through workflow? If so, you can set this value in an external task.
