Does anyone know if its too late to sign up for the TS 6.5 Beta?.. we are starting on a new project and I would like to use 6.5..

I have tried a few times to contact interwoven directly with no responce.

If anyone knows the URL to signup or a specific person to talk to about it, please let me know Smiley Happy

Considering that they are already advertising 6.5 as available from the main page, I would think that they are pretty close to making it available for download. Mind you, that's just a guess.

The fix for the 16-group limitation is in TeamSite 6.5 which has just been released. This problem can be resolved by using the TeamSite Groups feature (which enables you to use non-OS groups). This has been discussed in much detail in one of the earlier threads on 6.1 vs 6.5

well, I gotta see it to believe it, especially whether there is much of changes involved in converting the existing permission model into the new one. and also, whether 2 models co-exist on the same box.

I am wondering if having a CMS security model based on an OS security model is even a good idea. CMS seems more role-based, less permission based.

well, yes and no. you need to have a security model that control the access to the various part of the web site. But obviously the existing models (Windows model was actually much more flexible, especially if local groups were available) are not adequate.
