Submit crashes 6.5

Just installed TS 6.5 with latest patch on win2k pro sp4 box.

When going in to the TS gui I am able to navigate/create branches/create workareas and folders. When I try and submit my very first folder TS freezes. The window for submission "iw.ccpro.submit: comes up and hangs. I then can't do anything else and have to power down.

Any hints?

Are you using NAV ? or any other anti virus ? what version ?

Yes... version 8.07.17C

I turned off "Auto-Protect" and "Script-Blocking" thinking that might be the cause but still same results.

I had the same symptoms a while back with TS 6.1 and NAV 9 on W2K. Stopping NAV did not help. Only a complete uninstall of NAV solved the problem. Apparently NAV was doing something even if all the NAV services were stopped and all scanning/protect turned off.

You migth want to give it a shot by uninstalling NAV - if possible.

I am not sure if the problem persists for 6.5. Chances are it does since its a NAV issue.

Good thread....led me to do a serach on support for the word "NAV" gave me 1 result of an KBA 52911pertaining to the problem.

im sure youve probably tried all this but i usually take the following steps to totally disable NAV w/o uninstall:

1) use msconfig to delete all NAV entries from startup...another nicer tool is startup control panel (www.mlin.net)

2) disable all the NAV services in control panel...some are cryptic imo
