Task Activation Upon condition

I am using teamsite 5.5.2, i would like to know whether a cgi task can be invoked only upon a result of an external task.

Any task can be invoked as a result of any other task - that's workflow development - if you don't understand that, you need to do more reading and/or training in workflow development.

If, instead, you're asking whether a cgitask can be activated *immediately* upon the transition from an externaltask - the answer is "no" - there are only three situations in which a cgitask can be activated "immediately" - and that's covered [at least] in the workflow tutorial supplement which is available on this site if you search for it.

If neither of the above responses answer your question - perhaps you can post a more thoroughly descriptive question.
