Hi all,
Current installation of TeamSite (on Win2K platform, Version 5.5.2) working with BEA WLS app servers for vitualization. TeamSite is the only Windows server, all other servers are UNIX Solaris. All pages in TeamSite are jsp. Static assets (images, html, etc) also being served by BEA WLS for development in workareas.
Currently the model for virtualization is "heavyweight" - 1 WLS app instance per workarea. We want to share single WLS app instance ("lightweight") with many workareas to increase scalability of virtualization.
Here are two of the proxy settings for two workareas (there are others very that are very similar):
_regex=^/iw-mount(/default/main/bose/EN/US/C_Release/WORKAREA/design)(/[^\?]*jsp)$=
http://localhost:80/iw-bin/ic_npxy.cgi?branch=$1&path=$2&prefix=http://devweb301.bose.com:8003/controller_regex=^/iw-mount(/default/main/bose/EN/US/B_Release/WORKAREA/design)(/[^\?]*jsp)$=
http://localhost:80/iw-bin/ic_npxy.cgi?branch=$1&path=$2&prefix=http://devweb301.bose.com:8002/controllerWe have a developer who will be modifying the context-root in WLS configuration (right now it is set for "/" in all instances). He states that in order to make the "one to many" WLS to TS workarea model work, we have to re-path the static asset directories. Currently all directories are absolutely pathed to the root to maintain efficient and consistent front end development. We are being told that these static asset directories will need be pathed relatively like "./images/" instead of "/images/".
My question - it is very inefficient to have to re-path from absolute to relative paths to make this work. Are we missing something? Can we set up "lightweight" sandboxes to workareas without having to re-path directories?
