OpenDeploy version? Platform? Was it the base server or receiver that reported the error? What led up to the error?

OD5.6 SP1(both server and receiver). Server reported the above error. When one user was trying to deploying the content, it didn't go through and reported the error:
Locating OpenDeploy service. OpenDeploy server host: localhost, RMI registry port: 9173 ***ERROR - Could not establish RMI connection to the OpenDeploy server. Please check that the OpenDeploy server is running.
In the log files found the Unexpected exception that I have mentioned in my previous post.

The error messages indicate sparc, so I assume you're on Solaris. Are all o/s patches pertaining to Java installed on the base server system?

Before installing OD5.6 and SP1, the system admin installed all the o/s patches that were available then. But if the patch came after Nov'03 then probably its not installed.

If you have the latest Solaris patches as of the time OD 5.6 was released, then you should be ok in that regard.
You might want to work with Tech Support to see if they can recreate your circumstance.

Yeah. I already opened a support case. Just wanted to see if any one experienced it before. Thats why posted it on devnet.

Greetings,
Were you able to identify what caused this issue and how to resolve it?
I am experiencing a similar issue with OpenDeploy 5.6 on a SunOS tsprod 5.8 Generic_117350-02 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-280R. The OD process fails shortly after we restart it recording the the information below in the the od.log file:

Yama,
I opened a support case and they say that it might be a patch issue and suggested that we reapply all the latest patches. We did not get that error again. Once it resurfaces we will give it a shot.
