interwoven6.1VisualFormatClient installation error
bcvbbbjnn
In TeamSite 6.1, whenever a field enabled with Visual Format is clicked the following error is obtained.
Error:
WARNING: All XML functionality is disabled.
The eWebEditPro+XML license key is either missing or is invalid. To use XML, you must provide eWebEditPro+XML with a valid XML license key. Please add the key to the 'ewebeditprolicensekey.txt'file.
It seems there is some problem in the installation of visual format client.
How to rectify this error?

TeamSite ships with eWebEditPro version 3.1.0.11 and not eWebEditPro + XML . I am confused why it is asking you for eWebEditPro + XML license key. Try going to the url
http://tshostname/iw/ewebeditpro20/test.htm
to check the version and license key information of eWebEditPro.
Did you download the eWebEditPro + XML and copy it to replace TeamSite version of eWebEditPro? It would not work since the license key shipped with TeamSite only works with eWebEditPro and not + XML version.

Hi ts_user
As suggested by you viewed using the url
http://hostname/iw/ewebeditpro20/test.htm
and got the version as 3,1,0,11.
Intially when ever a field enabled with this tool bar is clicked a popup appears from where you can install the client and i do remember that i had followed the same steps.
Are there any solution to resolve the issue.

Did you download eWebEditpro+XML outside of TeamSite and install it on your system? TeamSite ships with just eWebEditPro and that is what you should be using. The license key check should be happening in eWebEditPro and the version that ships with TeamSite should not prompt you for a license key.

Here is something you may try:
Bring up one of the sample DCR's (like Internet/pr) and see if you get the license problem. If you don't, then it means something is wrong with your own DCR. Most likely it's because of an invalid visual format config file is specified. You can either remove the config file from DCR to use the default one or change to a valid file. The license error should disappear.

Hi bcvbbbjnn,
Check your local desktop to see which version of eWebEditPro client is installed on your desktop. You might want to uninstall the version on your desktop and try installing it again by opening the VFE template. If this does not solve your issue, I would suggest opening up a support ticket with interwoven.
Thanks.

The error was due to the wrong name of the visual format configuration file within the datacapture.cfg.
In addition to this i removed the ewebeditpro ocx files from system32 folder and then again installed the visual format client.
Now the problem got solved. Thanks a lot.

Hi
I had the same problem, migrating to a new server
turns out in my datacapture.cfg file i had an entry like

and I didnt have VfSimpleFeatures.xml in \iw-home\httpd\iw\config\

Thanks Interwoven, not only have you decided to change the default location (why?) but you have not updated the documentation accordingly.

Teamsite 6.1 SP1
I changed the configuration to read this to use my own custom config file

Answer

Type in answer.

I am still getting the same error. Anyone has answer to this issue?
Thanks
