Workarea synchronization with local directory

Hello,

I am looking for a way to link a server directory (outside CMS) with a TeamSite Workarea directory. By this, I would like to submit all contained files to the CMS whenever a file change on the server directory took place.

Currently, I don't know what kind of architecture would best fit my needs. Has andybody a suggestion in which area I search for detailed information?

Perhaps a cron job running OpenDeploy (xfer new/changed files from server directory to CMS workarea) with DNR script (submit and/or initiate workflow with new files in CMS)

... another way is to use rsync (on Solaris, or using Cygwin on windows) to upload the files to your workarea. You'd then have to run a submit on the TeamSite machine which you can do using rexec on Solaris. I don't know if/what the Windows equivalent of rexec is.
