OD 6.0.1 Event Subsystem Config
AllYourBase
Logging in to the OD admin GUI and navigating to the 'Event Server Configuration' page produces 'Unsupported version of Teamsite is installed.'
Has anyone seen this or know how to resolve this? I think it might be related to the es_enable setting in iw.cfg, but am waiting for a response to a case asking that.
We are on OD 6.0.1 and TS 6.5 on Solaris 2.9.

The OD UI cannot be used to configure the TS event subsystem for TS versions 6.5 (and higher). As of TS 6.5, the event subsystem is used not only by DAS, but also by the TS reporting subsystem. Therefore, you need to configure the TS 6.5 event subsystem using the tools/procedures provided with TS.
The message given by the OD UI is being updated in OD 6.0.2 to be less confusing.

Does this mean that the event reporting in the OD interface will not work if you have TS 6.5 installed on the server without a licence to the reporting server? I am trying to configure this and getting nowhere. getting this "Please check if the correct JDBC driver is installed." on my report pages. I am using a sql 2000 server.

No, it doesn't. The OD reporting subsystem is independent of TeamSite.

OD reporting consists of the following general steps:
+ Initialize reporting database using scripts provided with OD
+ Configure OD Admin Server to access the database
+ Configure one or more OD servers (base servers or receivers) to publish events
+ Configure OD Admin Server to subscribe to events from OD servers
If after following the instructions in the docs for these steps it still doesn't work, you may want to have Tech Support walk you through it.

with Oracle, it's an issue of getting the CLASSPATH variable set correctly
and then getting all of the scripts needed to include it.
Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback. After combing the documentation with a co-worker we realized i forgot to run the initial sql statements to get my database configured. DOH!
So i guess you could say I sort of messed up on this one.
I do find it odd though that for all other database items we do (DAS and DD Deploys) this setup is the only one that needs the initial tables created by running sql commands against a DB.

Can you please elaborate on Tools and procedures in TS to configure EventSubsystem?

I believe TeamSite 6.5 comes with the event subsystem pre-configured. The TeamSite documentation should provide additional info about how to tailor your configuration.
