FormAPI and DCT created with iwdtd2sym

Hi

I am trying to access an item using FormAPI (TS 5.5.2) within a datacapture.cfg (attached) which has been created from a DTD using iwdtd2dct.

I want to be able to access particular elements in the DCT for validation, but cannot work out who to get a handle on these items.

Can someone help out?

For example, how do I reference the "ifa" item in the attached datacapture.cfg I consider myself fairly proficient in Javascript, but can find little or no documentation on these references...
