MetaData Capture in 6.5

Has anyone noticed any wierd behavior in 6.5 and metadata capture. I have tried the following:

And they all funciton similar... bad but similar. I have also tried show_env with the first two examples, and it does the same thing. .

The first time the page loads you get a 404. If you refresh the metadatacapture form and click the callout again it has no effect. If you close the form, and click tag again and then the callout it functions properly.

If you go to another file, and click on it or even the same file again to tag it may or may not function.

Does anyone have cgi- callouts working for the default metadata capture screen in 6.5. I do not have metatagger installed.

Solved It:

Ok this is wierd... I checked the logs:

[Tue Feb 15 10:22:08 2005] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: d:/iw
-home/httpd/iw/blankgrey.html

I don't have any code looking for that file. I also tried it with a helloworld servlet and had the same issue. So I created an EMPTY file blankgrey.html and placed it in my iw-home/httpd/iw directory... and all of the above links work.... I searched and I do not have this file on my system. I am on windows with ts 6.5 anyone else seen this?

On my 6.5 W2K box I have the iw-home/httpd/iw/blankgrey.html file. Heres the contents of this file:

<BODY BGCOLOR="#c0c0c0">
</BODY>
</HTML>

Maybe check your install logs for any errors creating/copying certain files ?

FWIW - we don't have that file (blankgrey.html) sitting in IWHOME/httpd/iw/ on our Solaris 9 TS 6.5 system (there are a few "blank.html" and one "blank_page.html" in orther directories) -- and we don't see the problem you are experiencing

Thanks Fish, and IwovGraduate. I do not see anything in the install logs about the file.
IwovGraduate was yours a fresh install or an upgrade? Mine was a new install, and I do not remember deleting that file... I don't usually do such things, but it is not outside of the realm of possibilities.

Its was an upgrade from 6.1
I guess that explains why I have that file and you and ghoti do not.
However you are having the issue but ghoti does not - thats still a mystery.

Maybe this is a problem only to the TS 6.5 for Windows. I had TS 6.5 on win2003, fresh install and I had the same problem a few weeks ago. Then I found the file on my other TS 6.1 box and copied it over.
