6.5 Calendar for your review

Everyone,

I needed a new calendar, and someone who is **** like when it comes to TS pointed me towards:

I took that little bit of knowledge and was able to create the following callouts and datacapture.cfgs both (metadata & templating) for some reason I was not able to get the callout to be the same for templating as it is for metadata. So I seperated the datacapture, and ipl's into seperate directories.

I'm sure it's simple so if someone fixes please post.

You will need to download the calendar from the site above, and put it in the httpd/iw/custom or another directory.. just check out the links in the ipl if you move it.

The callbacks I leveraged from the existing calendar that was posted so there may be some extra information in the ipl that you do not need, but it works.
This calendar as you will see on the site can go back and forwards by year, and also has a very nice drop down.

If someone makes a better one please post Smiley Happy

Also if you have not seen the issue with blankgrey.html if you have a clean install of 6.5 that file may not be there on windows, and this will not work.

I do not have a solaris env, and I have not tested this with Firefox yet so if someone does or wants to fix this if it does not work again please post.

From a visual perspective - having gone to that web-page you mentioned.
It seems to work just fine on MacOS with Netscape, Firefox and Camino - but not in Safari (despite the fact that the text says it should work there)

I haven't tried utilizing the code you posted yet [don't have need for it right now] - so I can't tell you much about its use and/or modifications thereof.
The calendar.ipl you posted though is listed as being copyright IWOV 2002 with modification by Rob Huffstedtler .... (FWIW)

You are right in that it works on their site. I tested on my machine at home, and firefox does not handle the callback right. I did add this to the comments, and as I had said in my earlier post I used the callback code from the original calendar posted.

Please don't tell me there is a difference between that one as well :-( I haven't stared on the workflows yet for this client... oh man now I've got another one to do :-( Unless you want to fix it for me :-) or FISH!!!!! you are Mr workflow as I remember.

I'm using it on Windows 2000 with I.E. 6..028 SP1, and it appears to work fine. I tested my birthday for the next 100 years :-)

I got it! The post for the customization is on the workflow forum. I was not able to get them working with firefox yet for the callback, but my client's standard is i.e... so I'm ok. I also could not get all 3 .ipls to be just one... I'm sure with more time I could, or someone else could if they like where I've got it so far...

with the metadata callouts - I have posted some time ago a devnet article about this. it's a tiny change that makes them work
