Connection refused when view

Hi All,

I installed TeamSite 6.1 on SunOS 5.8 and everything work fine on it but when i go to view any html page from TeamSite GUI it says

Connection refused:<ip address>:81

I did check my iwproxy that is running and also checked 1080 port is listening, the only port is not listening which is port 81 might be causing the issue.

TS machine is on behind the firewall, and on the firewall only three ports are opened 80,443 and 8081 so please tell me in order to fix this issue do I need to open the port 81 only on TS machine or also on the firewall or is there otherway to fix this problem

What web server are you using ? Apache ?

It should be running on port 81.

try no path, just getting to the web server:

http://ipaddress:81/

does it give you the apache (or whatever server you use) main page ?

HI,

I installed apache during the installation of TS 6.1 and try to http://ipaddress:81 but no page is coming up

and I tried to check port 81 which is not opened because it says connection refused once i telnet it.

Do i need to open the port 81 or restart the apache.

Then apache is not configured properly.

run this

ps -ef | grep apache

to be certain apache is running. Check the httpd.conf file to see what port it is running on,
look for this:

#
# Port: The port to which the standalone server listens. For
# ports < 1023, you will need httpd to be run as root initially.
#
Port 81

to start/stop use:

apachectl start (or stop)

And remember - this is the "customer webserver" Apache *not* the TeamSite iw-webd server (which is also Apache, but not intended for site-specific customizations in general.

Thanks nipper and ghoti, Problem has been solved that was apache was not running.

And I followed your help and it resolved. But that suppose to start when TS server restart or reset itself??

Yes

Talk to your sys admin. There should be some files in /etc/init.d (apache & http.server) which will
start apache when the system is started.

This is not something you want to mess with unless you know what you are doing.
