New to FormsPublisher

Webldry

We are using TeamSite 6.1 but are looking to implement Forms/Templates to give more users a chance to update their relative content on our site.

Are there any tutorials to help get me started on working with FormsPublisher? I don't want a class, just some tutorials documented or online.

Thanks for the help!

Best is probably to look at the examples that ship with the product (hopefully there's an updated one for 6.x) and the documentation - there are no real shortcuts that I know of.

Also,

- Templating Users guide
- Templating Developers guide
- KB articles on support site. (also has a some white papers)

Remember, none of these are supposed to be "text-book" material. Use them as references.

Hmmm, the name FormsPublisher makes me think of a product designed for publishing forms (what was wrong with the name templating?). Are there any new facilities allowing templates/forms to be exposed on the website (other than the option of generating form tags in a presentation temlate) as opposed to just the CMS? I don't see how this would be possible but I'm having some kind of disconnect on this product name.

Ah, the wonderful world of productization. I think they felt that they needed to use a new name to differentiate the old/new UI's and associated functionality - and they hung their hat on the fact that you *use* "forms" for entering content and then "publish" the forms to create the finished product.

But that's just a guess.

Back to the original question, there are some classes offered by the Interwoven Education team as web-based training that might be helpful.

The link to the web training (aka cyberschool) is here:
[url]

You need to purchase a library card to use cyberschool. I believe the pricing is in the $1K range for a card for a year, and you can take as many classes as many times as you like. If you are new to Templating, it may be a good investment for you.
Templating Concepts and Design
The VisualTemplate Builder / Dreamweaver environment
Templating Configuration Files
