how to assign array or index from getValue

gururaj

I want to know how to assign the array of values obatining from getValue()

var params = new Object();
params.feature = applicationItem.getOptions()[applicationItem.getValue()].value;

If my get multiple values from applicationItem.getOptions()[applicationItem.getValue()].value how to assign it to variable?

If I select multiple values in the dropdown :

Please select a Application Technology

Application Technology

option value="1">One
Two
Three
Four
Five
Six
Seven

I'm getting the following error
"' ' getOptions()[...].value' is null or not an object "

How to assign the multiple values obtained from the selection?

The code you've posted will only be valid for single-select lists. For multi-select, you will need to loop through the options array and test the "selected" property. If true, you do something with the value. Something like:

var opts = item.getOptions();

for (j = 0; j < opts.length; j++)
{
    if (opts.selected)
    {
        // Do something with opts.value
    }
}
