Retrieve Nested Replicant Item with FormApi

Hello,
I have two nested replicants, I was trying to get an item of the second replicant and used the following format to do so
IWDatacapture.getItem("/replicant1[0]/replicant2[0]/CHILD_ITEM");
I hardcoded the xpath, yet it's returning me a null item. Does anybody have a guess why?

According to what I can see in the docs, replicate numbers are 1-based, not 0-based. So try

IWDatacapture.getItem("/replicant1[1]/replicant2[1]/CHILD_ITEM");
