Clues (proximity)

Does proximity to a term affect clues? For instance, does a clue need to appear in the same sentence or same page as the ambiguous term in order to be relevant or can it appear anywhere in the document?

Currently there is no support for proximity. The clue term must appear somewhere in the same document as the <label> or <alt> for which it serves as a clue.
