Data deploy error

Hi,
I am getting the following error while the DCR is submitted second time.. Records properly get inserted in to Workarea tables.. But getting this error while trying to submit the DCR. First time the data gets in to the staging table properly. But when I edit the DCR and submit it again.. it fails.. I think it probably can't able to find the record in the staging table. But the record exist.. I am sure of that !!!

Hi Venkat,

we have exact the same problem you described at least with one of our data types. This behavior appeared after we installed the DD Patch ID 1443 (DataDeploy 5.6.0 for Solaris). When we removed the patch again, the error disappeared.

Unfortunately this patch is necessary for TS 6.1.

So far, we were not able to solve the problem, were you?

Hi Stefan,
We figured out that this error was caused because we had one of our columns to be of char datatype.
Once we changed the column to Varchar2, it started working properly.
This is a round about fix. But I guess the problem do exist for char datatypes.

We have just installed OD/DD 6.0.2 and are having this exact same issue. The first deployment works fine, all subsequent deployments fail. If I remove all the fields from the deployment config file except "path" and "iwstate" it works over and over. Any suggestions?

DCR type is iwov and the database is Oracle 10 (10g maybe).

I solved this with more searching in the forum archives. Basically, the Oracle JDBC driver shipped with DD is the pre Oracle 9 driver and therefore you need to update the od-home/drivers/classes12.zip file with the one that shipped with your client software.
