TeamSite Groups and Win2k

kvargas23

Hi,
Has anyone successfully released 6.5 yet using teamsite groups (<iw-home>/conf/tsgroups.xml) for managing their groups? I am strongly considering it as it will free up managing people in our domain groups and prevent having over 100 groups set up by networking (what a pain).

I know tsgroups.xml was built for a solaris/Unix fix, but after speaking with my technical sales rep, he says its totally ok to use it to manage my groups for sharing, etc. if I want to.

Has anyone used it yet?

thanks
Keith

Keith..

Even though the TeamSite Groups feature was built to address the 16-group limitation on Solaris, it can be used on both platforms and you can use TeamSite groups for your "group for sharing".
