Hi All
Can Teamsite 5.5.2 version be installed on a Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Edition 2.1 or 3) OS ?
How about support for Templating,Open Deploy as well.
Thanks in Advance

there are compatibility matrices on the IWOV support site (e.g.
https://support.interwoven.com/resources/products/compatibility/opendeploy.asp
)... maybe they are even on the IWOV public site (it would make sense IMO, but didn't check to find them).
My understanding is that very little can be installed on Linux, only OpenDeploy base & receiver.

To the best of my knowledge:
- TeamSite cannot be used on Linux,
- The Templating engine is not officially supported on Linux (though I believe some of the engineers responsible for it have done their own internal ports but don't expect it to be provided publicly until/unless TeamSite is officially ported).
- OpenDeploy DOES work with certain specific versions of Linux (see the documentation / release notes for details).

Ramkumar,
TeamSite 5.5.2 does not have Linux port and hence you won't be able to install either TeamSite or Templating on a Linux box. However, we are looking at a workgroup edition (targeted for developers) version of TeamSite 6.1 on Linux which could be released sometime towards the end of this qaurter.
thanks

Whaddayaknow? Cool. Any chance of doing a similar port for MacOS-X? I'd love to be able to run TeamSite on my Mac....

My experience is that Jedit and Eclipse both crash on Mac. I don't see how TeamSite could be made more reliable in this environment.

Hmm - well there are some articles regarding
jedit on MacOS-X
and
eclipse on MacOS-X
- but I'm not sure what either of these have to do with being able to support TeamSite / TeamSite Templating on MacOS-X?
Certainly the biggest challenge would be the IFS, for which there also appear to be some articles about
virtual file systems on MacOS-X
- so I'm still thinking it's possible, just a question of how difficult it would be and whether they could justify the effort...
